THE ROLE
Cambium is seeking another great teammate to be a highly organized and resourceful Logistics and Procurement Specialist to manage the end-to-end process of sourcing raw materials, overseeing inventory, and handling both domestic and international shipping logistics – particularly in hazardous goods. The role plays a key part in ensuring smooth supply chain operations, cost-effective procurement, and compliant global shipping. As Cambium experiences rapid growth, the responsibilities for this role are expected to evolve.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify, evaluate and source raw materials, with a focus on composites and specialized materials.

Establish and manage vendor relationships, focusing on quality, reliability, and price.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to ensure cost-efficiency without compromising quality.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate, real-time tracking across all materials.

Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid shortages and overstocking.

Work with internal teams to forecast demand and align inventory accordingly.

Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including end-to-end management of dangerous goods in compliance with applicable regulations (e.g. IATA, DOT, IMDG)

Prepare shipping documentation, custom declarations, and ensure adherence to compliance standards.

Select and manage freight forwarders, couriers, and transportation partners.

Track all shipments from origin to delivery, resolving delays and issues proactively.
KEY REQUIREMENTS

US citizenship

5+ years of experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain, with a focus on composite materials.

Strong understanding of shipping regulations for hazardous materials.

Proven ability to negotiate pricing and manage supplier relationships.

Experience with global sourcing and freight cost optimization.

Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving skills.

SALARY RANGE
$75,000-$105,000
