Role Overview

Do you enjoy transforming cross-functional information into clear, concise documentation? Can you initiate conversations across disciplines and understand how information fits within the context of the larger system?

Mytra’s Systems Engineering team is looking for a Technical Writer Lead to build and own our technical documentation infrastructure. As Technical Writer Lead, you will work across disciplines to distill interdisciplinary information for system-level components into documentation for internal and external audiences. You’ll become a go-to person for system knowledge and information organization and understand our product inside and out.

What You’ll Do

• Build and own our systems-level technical documentation infrastructure.
• Distill interdisciplinary information into documentation for internal and external audiences, for uses ranging from debugging to deployment.
• Initiate and manage conversations across functional groups to ensure critical information is captured and easily discoverable.
• Create, define, and drive technical content strategies and organization for the systems engineering team.
• Organize and facilitate development of manufacturing instructions, repair and maintenance instruction, and service bulletins.
• Organize and facilitate documentation of system-level requirements and specifications.
  
  

What Makes You a Strong Fit

• 5+ years of technical writing experience working with multidisciplinary hardware or robotics teams, preferably with a background in engineering, technician, or support.
• Experience starting and / or leading technical writing teams is a plus.
• Experience developing, implementing, and championing company-wide documentation architecture.
• You enjoy talking across disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, structural, robotics, software, and AI, and transforming cross-functional information into concise, clear documentation.
• You know how to write to specific audiences and create documentation that leaves no questions unanswered.
