Integration Engineer - Manufacturing/EOL
Mytra
About Mytra:
We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.
About the role:
Mytra's Manufacturing team is seeking a hands-on Bot Integration Engineer to lead end-of-line (EOL) robot bring-up operations and manufacturing debug activities.
As an Integration Engineer on the Manufacturing team, you'll execute and integrate procedures developed by our infrastructure teams, translating software and hardware specifications into reliable production processes. You will lead technical efforts across teams engaged in complex problem-solving related to End-of-Line (EOL) electrical testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics. You'll be the primary troubleshooter for manufacturing issues, conducting rapid diagnosis and root cause analysis to maintain high-quality output and production efficiency.
This role requires on-site presence at our Brisbane, CA headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- The core responsibilities are centered on leading the integration, setup, troubleshooting, and optimization of robotic systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Lead EOL Robot Operations: Execute and lead end-of-line (EOL) robot bring-up operations, including integrating and implementing procedures for OS installation, system configuration, provisioning, and comprehensive calibration of robotic hardware systems.
- Manufacturing Debug and Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary troubleshooter for manufacturing issues, conducting rapid diagnosis and systematic troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical systems to resolve production issues that impact quality or throughput.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead RCA investigations and work cross-functionally with engineering teams to identify failure modes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurring manufacturing defects.
- Process Integration and Translation: Execute and integrate procedures developed by infrastructure teams, translating software and hardware specifications into reliable production processes.
- Workflow Optimization: Optimize production workflows by refining bring-up procedures based on field experience and collaborating with infrastructure teams to improve automation and reduce manual intervention.
- Technical Leadership: Lead technical efforts across teams engaged in complex problem-solving related to EOL electrical testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production support, or hands-on integration of complex electro-mechanical or robotics systems.
- Troubleshooting Expertise: Strong troubleshooting expertise with robotics systems, including actuators, sensors, motor controllers, and communication protocols in production environments.
- Diagnosis and Problem-Solving: Experience excelling at rapid diagnosis and systematically isolating failure modes in complex systems.
- Diagnostic Tool Proficiency: Proficiency with diagnostic tools, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, CAN bus analyzers, and Linux-based debugging utilities.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Bash scripting is required.
- System Procedures: Experience working with software installation procedures, system configuration, and hardware calibration processes.
- Communication: Ability to effectively communicate technical issues to engineering teams and provide clear feedback for procedure improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Scripting: Familiarity with Python is a plus.
- Work Environment: Comfortable working in fast-paced manufacturing environments with evolving procedures and technical requirements.
- Personal Attributes: Thrives in hands-on roles, displays practical problem-solving, attention to detail, openness, inquisitiveness, constant ambition, and a willingness to realize mistakes and pivot.
