Mytra
About Mytra:
We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.
About the role:
The Facilities Technician is a hands-on, technician-level role responsible for keeping Mytra’s warehouse, R&D, and office spaces safe, functional, and ready for rapid iteration. This role executes small works independently (repairs, installs, basic buildouts), and supports prototype builds for internal projects (including warehouse racking system prototypes in partnership with Engineering).
Responsibilities:
- Execute day-to-day facility maintenance and repairs across warehouse, R&D, and office areas. Fix and troubleshoot common issues like doors and hardware, minor HVAC issues, plumbing-related issues, and general wear-and-tear.
- Perform small works / minor buildouts independently. Run power and low-voltage cable, compressed air lines, install mounts and fixtures, set up workstations, and make small modifications to support operations.
- Coordinate with Facilities leadership and vendors when work is outside technician scope. Help scope issues, gather quotes, prepare spaces, and escort contractors.
- Support internal builds and prototype projects in partnership with Engineering and Operations. Assist with prototype builds and modifications related to warehouse infrastructure, including racking system prototypes. Use basic mechanical assembly skills and shop tools to build, rework, and troubleshoot.
- Support safety and compliance. Help maintain a clean, safe environment. Assist with inspections, basic documentation, and adherence to safety practices.
- Operate with high ownership and responsiveness. Respond quickly to facilities issues and urgent breaks to reduce downtime. Communicate status clearly and keep a simple log of work performed.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on facilities, maintenance, industrial service, or similar technician experience (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with basic repairs and common building systems.
- Comfort using common shop tools and performing basic mechanical assembly.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Clear communication and ability to work independently.
- Physical capacity to lift up to 40–50 pounds and perform physical work (standing, walking, bending, carrying).
- Familiarity with operating Forklifts, Boom/Scissor lifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting facilities in a warehouse, R&D, lab, or startup environment.
- Working familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems (basic diagnostic and repair within scope).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, basic schematics, or assembly drawings.
- Experience with documentation such as SOPs, checklists, and maintenance logs.
- Comfort coordinating contractors and vendors for larger repairs.
A Final Note:
You’re encouraged to apply even if you can’t take on every example project in its totality. We work closely and collaboratively at Mytra - No one takes on projects alone. We seek people who are eager to work together, learn new things, and bring unique perspectives.
