About Mytra:

We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.

About the role:

Mytra's Manufacturing Engineering team is seeking an experienced Staff Manufacturing Test Engineer to lead end-of-line testing operations and drive manufacturing quality initiatives.

As a Staff Manufacturing Test Engineer, you'll own the critical intersection between development and production, translating engineering designs into scalable manufacturing processes. You'll architect comprehensive test strategies that catch issues early, improve first-pass yields, and ensure every robot leaving our facility operates flawlessly in demanding warehouse environments.

This role requires on-site presence at our Brisbane, CA headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-of-line robot bring-up operations, integrating procedures developed by software and infrastructure teams for OS installation, system configuration, provisioning, and comprehensive calibration and testing of robotic hardware systems.
  • Assess and optimize manufacturing test coverage, identifying quality risks and developing strategic plans for upstream, in-line test stations that significantly improve first-pass-yield at end-of-line.
  • Design and develop automated test stations, combining mechatronics design expertise with Python-based test automation to create scalable, reliable testing infrastructure that can validate complex robotic systems.
  • Architect manufacturing test data systems, developing comprehensive data collection requirements and implementing robust data management solutions that provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate will have:

  • You have 8+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering, preferably with complex electro-mechanical systems, robotics, or automation equipment in production environments.
  • You possess proven expertise in end-of-line testing processes, system bring-up procedures, and manufacturing quality control for hardware products.
  • You demonstrate strong background in test station design and development, with hands-on experience creating automated test systems using Python, LabVIEW, or similar platforms.
  • You have deep understanding of manufacturing data systems, statistical process control, and data-driven quality improvement methodologies.
  • You're proficient in Python programming with ability to develop robust, maintainable test automation code following software engineering best practices

Nice to have:

  • You excel at cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software teams to ensure manufacturing readiness.
  • You possess strong problem-solving abilities with experience in root cause analysis, failure mode identification, and corrective action implementation.

A Final Note:

You’re encouraged to apply even if you can’t take on every example project in its totality. We work closely and collaboratively at Mytra - No one takes on projects alone. We seek people who are eager to work together, learn new things, and bring unique perspectives.

Benefits Include:

  • Competitive compensation and equity grants at a high-growth company backed by top-tier VCs
  • Fully subsidized health coverage, including medical (baseline plans), dental, and vision for employees and dependents
  • 401(k) plans and employer-subsidized life insurance
  • Fully subsidized lunch and snacks at HQ—we eat and share stories together at the “long” table
  • Generous PTO and company-paid holidays, including one week over the winter break so everyone can recharge together
  • Voluntary pet insurance, Voluntary Life Insurance, Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity
  • Fully subsidized tax advisory services and education to help you understand your equity
  • Commuter benefits, including a up to $150 monthly commuter benefit
  • Lively, modern combined office and lab space where we rapidly iterate through design, build, and test phases
  • Fully equipped onsite gym and showers at headquarters
