Job Level:

The level of this position will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. We are open to considering candidates of varying experience levels, from early-career to experienced.


Role:

Northwood is looking for a Global Contracts and Operations Manager who will be responsible for contracting, commercial terms, supplier sourcing, business operations, external partnerships, and supporting buying/finance. This is a critical role as we establish and scale our international network of sites. You will directly influence and shape the economics, operations, reliability, and scalability of our network and will partner closely with external companies and cross-functional internal teams. The ideal candidate is a high-performance problem solver with prior experience executing large and fast-moving projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex contract negotiations, securing favorable terms and ensuring alignment with company objectives to support the rapid scaling of our network

  • Source and establish partnerships with companies around the globe

  • Partner closely with cross-functional internal teams: engineering, network operations, policy, legal, and growth

  • Develop and maintain databases for tracking costs, partner deliverables, and partner performance metrics (reliability, delivery timelines, network performance, etc.)

  • Establish processes for purchasing and invoicing, execute purchase orders on behalf of the company and resolve any discrepancies

  • Support regulatory filings, supply chain management, and other business critical functions

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience working in contracting, engineering, supply chain, operations, or purchasing

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to take ownership of issues and derive solutions in a fast-moving environment

  • Ability to prioritize effectively to meet company goals and timelines

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience negotiating contracts and establishing terms and conditions

  • Ability to speak and write multiple languages

  • Experience with data analytics, modeling, visualization, and databases (SQL, etc.)

  • Understanding of contract law, regulatory, and industry specific legal frameworks

  • Understanding or familiarity with networking and/or telecommunications systems

  • Experience with global supply chain management and buying

  • Experience with medium to high volume project planning and scheduling

  • Ability to travel as needed to global customer or partner locations

  • Has security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation is determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a base-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, and technical capabilities. In addition to base salary, Northwood Space offers long term incentives such as company stock, stock options, and cash awards, as well as discretionary bonus for performance.
