Role:
Northwood Space is seeking an experienced IT Specialist to handle day to day IT operations and architecting of Northwood’s IT systems. This person will be providing hands-on technical support, managing user lifecycle processes, and maintaining both cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure. This is the first IT hire at Northwood and offers the opportunity to build processes from scratch.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to employees across hardware, software, and network issues.
Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including provisioning/deprovisioning accounts and devices.
Administer and support identity and access management systems, primarily Okta.
Administration and support of Microsoft 365, Atlassian Cloud, and Slack.
Monitor and maintain on-premise infrastructure including servers, backups, and Ubiquiti UniFi networking equipment.
Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
Maintain and troubleshoot conferencing A/V equipment (Teams Rooms).
Basic Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in IT support or system administration
Strong knowledge of Okta and Microsoft Office 365 / Entra ID / Intune
Experience with Slack and Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) in a support or administrative capacity.
Familiarity managing & supporting both Windows and macOS endpoints.
Hands-on experience managing on-premise servers and infrastructure.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or similar
Okta Certified Professional or Administrator
Experience with Infrastructure as code (Terraform), scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
Network and server management experience.
Additional Information:
