Orchard Robotics is a Series A startup backed by top VCs like Quiet Capital, Shine Capital, and General Catalyst. We're securing America’s food supply by building the AI farmer that automates our nation’s farms. We've raised over $25M in pursuit of our mission to help farmers farm more profitably and sustainably than ever before.

What We Do:

We build advanced camera systems that capture billions of images of fruit across millions of trees. This data powers FruitScope, our proprietary platform that gives farmers a precise, real-time view of their crops. Farmers use our software every day to make critical decisions and run more efficient, profitable operations. Today, our technology is trusted by some of the largest farms in the nation.

The Role:

We’re searching for an experienced Field Operations Manager to lead our growing team of field technicians across Washington, California and beyond. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our advanced camera systems are deployed, maintained, and supported with speed, quality, and consistency.

You’ll oversee a team of full-time field techs and contractors, ensuring equipment uptime, smooth scanning operations, and seamless data delivery to our customers. This role sits at the heart of our mission: transforming cutting-edge technology into actionable insights that help farmers thrive.

You will:

  • Lead & Manage Teams: Hire, coach, and manage a team of field technicians and contractors responsible for equipment installation, maintenance, and data capture.

  • Drive Operational Excellence: Ensure all orchards and vineyards are scanned on schedule, with high data quality and minimal downtime.

  • Troubleshoot & Problem-Solve: Provide first- and second-level troubleshooting for hardware and connectivity issues in the field.

  • Coordinate Deployments: Oversee scheduling, logistics, and contractor management to ensure smooth deployments and service calls.

  • Own Customer Relationships: Serve as the operational point of contact for growers during deployments, ensuring a world-class customer experience.

  • Enable Growth: Train new field employees, standardize processes, and implement best practices that scale across geographies.

  • Improve Systems: Identify operational bottlenecks, provide feedback to engineering, and recommend process improvements to maximize efficiency.

  • Ensure Compliance & Safety: Uphold safety standards and compliance protocols in all field activities.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Customer Experience to deliver on customer expectations.

You Have:

  • Experience leading and building teams of technicians, contractors, or field service staff

  • Strong operational judgment and customer service instincts

  • Hands-on technical experience—comfortable with hardware, connectivity, or electrical troubleshooting

  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in Spanish a plus

  • Ability to travel across California, Washington and Oregon (up to 30%) and occasionally to LATAM

  • Proficiency with productivity and office technologies (e.g., Google Workspace, spreadsheets, scheduling tools); experience field service software a plus

This is a rare chance to shape the future of farming while building a career-defining operations team. You’ll play a critical role in scaling the infrastructure that turns breakthrough AI into real-world impact for growers feeding millions of people.
