The Role
We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to lead the test development, validation, and diagnostics of our robotic fish processing systems. You will be responsible for developing test frameworks, software diagnostics, and debugging tools to ensure the reliability of our robotics in both lab and field environments.
This role requires a strong background in hardware engineering and software-driven testing, as well as experience with failure analysis and real-time debugging. You will work across hardware, software, and field operations, using data from real-world deployments to refine and optimize system performance.

The Role
We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to lead the test development, validation, and diagnostics of our robotic fish processing systems. You will be responsible for developing test frameworks, software diagnostics, and debugging tools to ensure the reliability of our robotics in both lab and field environments.
This role requires a strong background in hardware engineering and software-driven testing, as well as experience with failure analysis and real-time debugging. You will work across hardware, software, and field operations, using data from real-world deployments to refine and optimize system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the primary owner of test operations, strategy, and implementation for our robotics fleet.
- Primary owner of qualification testing and acceptance test development.
- Work directly with mechanical, software, and field engineering groups to improve reliability of robotics systems through rigorous testing campaigns.
- Own sensor selection and implementation required for test development strategy.
- Develop test automation frameworks and system validation tools (Python, C++, or Bash).
- Support failure analysis and troubleshooting across hardware, software, and operations teams.
- Select key telemetry output required for each sub-system to inform field diagnostics and future development.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in test operations, instrumentation, system diagnostics, for mechanical, electrical, and/or fluid systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
- Willingness to be hands on with fish for testing in house and in the field.
